Invitational
Here is a tournament
you can't miss! Now in its Ninth Year, The United Way
Invitational is the best in Salem County. Fabulous Golf!
Marvelous Food! Exciting Prizes! Wonderful People! And the
most amazing part is while you are part of something this
entertaining you are supporting the
greatest system of caring in Salem County. So save the date:

2007 Golf Tournament:
Last year's Tournament had the
largest turn out ever! On September 13, 2007, 140 Golfers
filled the Links at Town & Country Golf Course. This fun-filled day raised
over $25,000 for the United Way.
2006 Golf Tournament:
The United Way of Salem County
held its golf invitational tournament on September 21, 2006,
at beautiful Town & Country Golf Links in Pilesgrove, N.J.
Over 100 golfers participated in the event that started with
a shotgun scramble at 12:30 p.m. The fun-filled day raised
over $20,000 for the United Way. It's not too early to
think about participating in next year's tournament.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION |

The
United Way, in partnership with NJ Surplus Food, distributes
commodity foods once a month at First Presbyterian Church in
Salem. The dates for the year (2008) are as follows:

CAR SEAT
SAFETY |
|
The United Way is working with the
Sheriff's Department to Inspect and/or install car seats for
children at locations throughout Salem County. If you need to have
a seat inspected or are in need of a car seat, contact the United Way
for an appointment. Remember, you will be fined if your child
is not in a car seat.

LEADERSHIP EVENT |
|
The United Way of Salem County recognized Johnson Society
Leadership contributors during a wine tasting reception held
on October 5, 2006, that was hosted by Mike and Suzanne Cook
at Port Royal Antiques in Salem. Over 50 people attended
the annual event which honors those individuals who have
made a contribution of $1,000 or more. Community members
have shown support of the United Way and the services
provided by agencies in Salem County by their generous
giving.
